KOBAKO YOUR IDEA COMPANION

Terms of Service

利用規約

Effective — 28 July 2026 Last updated — 28 July 2026 Applies to — kobako.app and Kobako for iOS

01 The agreement

Kobako is made by Aleksandr Gaidash, an independent developer. By installing or using the app, or using this website, you agree to these terms. For the app they sit alongside Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs the licence itself; where the two overlap, Apple's terms win. If you do not agree, delete the app — everything it stored goes with it, and nothing is kept.

02 Your content is yours

Everything you write in Kobako belongs to you. We claim no rights over your ideas and take no licence beyond what is technically required to show them back to you on your own devices — which, as the Privacy Policy explains, happens on your device and in your own iCloud, out of our reach.

Everything that is not yours is ours or licensed to us: Kapi, the rooms, the artwork, the music, the name Kobako. Enjoy them in the app and on this site; do not re-use them elsewhere without asking first.

03 Purchases

Kobako offers an optional auto-renewing subscription and small one-off purchases. All of it goes through the App Store: Apple processes the payment, Apple holds your billing details, and prices are shown in the App Store before you confirm.

04 Not a backup service

Kobako is a companion for your own notes, not a vault. Your ideas live on your device and, if you enable sync, in your own iCloud — we hold no copy and cannot restore one. Keep your device's normal backups on; that is what brings your ideas back if the phone is lost.

05 Acceptable use

Use Kobako lawfully and leave the small services behind it — the waitlist, the tap counter, the app's configuration file — undisturbed. Do not probe, overload or abuse them, and do not try to reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law expressly permits. Abusive traffic may be blocked without notice.

06 Availability and changes

The app and the site are provided as they are. Features may change or be removed, old versions may stop being supported, and the services behind the app may be altered or wound down. Changes that matter are announced in the app; these terms carry their dates at the top, and material changes to them are announced the same way before they take effect.

07 Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Kobako comes without warranties, and our liability for any claim arising from it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that consumer law does not allow to be taken away — including, for EU and UK users, your statutory guarantees.

08 Ending things

You can stop at any time by deleting the app; no account exists, so there is nothing to close. We may stop providing the app or its services to anyone who breaks these terms. Sections 02, 07 and this one survive either ending.

09 Contact

Write to hello@kobako.app about these terms, or help@kobako.app for help with the app. A person reads both.
